Gökalp Eskioğlu was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Jiang Feng Yi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jiang Feng Yi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, San Diego FC's Dainius Bagdonas got a free kick in the 7th minute. Yusuf Stegen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ömer Kaymaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute of the game, Nazil Yüce landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After a rather tough play, Sultanahmet SK's Ömer Kaymaz got a free kick in the 10th minute. Jiang Feng Yi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökalp Eskioğlu having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Semail Özbir fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gökalp Eskioğlu, passed just outside the right post. 15 minutes into the match, Semail Özbir had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gökalp Eskioğlu. Sultanahmet SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Semail Özbir was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Jaroslaw Mierzejewski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökalp Eskioğlu having to interfere. Yusuf Stegen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömer Kaymaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Semail Özbir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gökalp Eskioğlu having to interfere. Jiang Feng Yi might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gökalp Eskioğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jiang Feng Yi ran back to his position shaking his head. Jiang Feng Yi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as San Diego FC's Jaroslaw Mierzejewski slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gökalp Eskioğlu. That made the score 3-0 after 31 minutes of play. In the 34th minute, San Diego FC's Semail Özbir ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gökalp Eskioğlu. Gökalp Eskioğlu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Gökalp Eskioğlu made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Semail Özbir sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Sultanahmet SK booed when San Diego FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Akın Tunçboğa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jiang Feng Yi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gökalp Eskioğlu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. If Jiang Feng Yi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teddy Bourasseau hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jiang Feng Yi was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, San Diego FC's Jiang Feng Yi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gökalp Eskioğlu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Jaroslaw Mierzejewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the game, Teddy Bourasseau was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. San Diego FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sultanahmet SK the free kick. In the 54th minute, Teddy Bourasseau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Semail Özbir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Yusuf Stegen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Kaymaz in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Ömer Kaymaz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Yusuf Stegen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 64th minute, Jiang Feng Yi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gökalp Eskioğlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jiang Feng Yi, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 68 minutes Sultanahmet SK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaroslaw Mierzejewski who took care of the corner kick. If Semail Özbir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Jiang Feng Yi managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Diego FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jiang Feng Yi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gökalp Eskioğlu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. San Diego FC's Semail Özbir got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Ömer Kaymaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sultanahmet SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Ömer Kaymaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yusuf Stegen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Teddy Bourasseau in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gökalp Eskioğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ömer Kaymaz in the 86th minute of play forced San Diego FC's goalkeeper Yusuf Stegen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jiang Feng Yi might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gökalp Eskioğlu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jiang Feng Yi ran back to his position shaking his head. Jiang Feng Yi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Gökalp Eskioğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gökalp Eskioğlu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jiang Feng Yi went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. When the referee ended the match the San Diego FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
