The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kutlay Enfal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinçer İlsak having to interfere. Pasabahce's Dinçer İlsak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mansur Temizöz in the 10th minute of play. If Mansur Temizöz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Güneri Kurman in the 28th minute of play forced Binboğa.F.K's goalkeeper Ahmet Harun Erdemer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Murathan Ensar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dinçer İlsak. Pasabahce's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Murathan Ensar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Kutlay Enfal struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. After the first half Binboğa.F.K were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Murathan Ensar was the one to do the kick off. Murathan Ensar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Binboğa.F.K's supporters rose to their feet, but Mansur Temizöz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinçer İlsak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dinçer İlsak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mansur Temizöz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Binboğa.F.K's Mansur Temizöz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. When the match was over Binboğa.F.K could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Pasabahce throughout the match.
