Ahmet Harun Merdan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hüsnü Ergök went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. When Bayındır Saraç fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mardin Kızıltepe's protests and gave Bayındır Saraç a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th minute there was a penalty for BAYBURT UNİTED. Melih Çiftçi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ahmet Harun Merdan. 0-4. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Şeray Zeyyat in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. Mardin Kızıltepe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Şeray Zeyyat was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. 41 minutes into the game, Cebrail Yazır was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mardin Kızıltepe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BAYBURT UNİTED the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mardin Kızıltepe's Cebrail Yazır got a free kick in the 41st minute. Ahmet Harun Merdan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şeray Zeyyat in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hüsnü Ergök to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, BAYBURT UNİTED's Şeray Zeyyat ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ahmet Harun Merdan. An unexpectedly hard shot by Şeray Zeyyat in the 95th minute of play forced Mardin Kızıltepe's goalkeeper Ahmet Harun Merdan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BAYBURT UNİTED's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
