Moses Drinkwater charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moses Drinkwater the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 12 played minutes Kurfalıspor got a freekick which was hit by Moses Drinkwater. Thanks to some nice moves Çağrı Pektürk could shoot a difficult shot in the 15th minute, which Ali Behzat Temcit however easily saved by the left post. Toni Schumacher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernd Noebels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ufuk Tekindağ in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Toni Schumacher saved Kurfalıspor from getting behind. After 20 played minutes SÖKE SPOR got a freekick which was hit by Kamuran Uygu. Toni Schumacher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernd Noebels, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, SÖKE SPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Rogério Quadros came free, but Ali Behzat Temcit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SÖKE SPOR's Ali Behzat Temcit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rogério Quadros in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ufuk Tekindağ in the 28th minute of play forced Kurfalıspor's goalkeeper Toni Schumacher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Onur Ağaoğlu in the 46th minute of play forced Kurfalıspor's goalkeeper Toni Schumacher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half SÖKE SPOR were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernd Noebels to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Kamuran Uygu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Toni Schumacher was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ufuk Tekindağ got free with Toni Schumacher in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Kurfalıspor's Toni Schumacher got control of the ball when Ufuk Tekindağ tried to sneak it across the goal line. Toni Schumacher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernd Noebels in the 65th minute of the match. Ufuk Tekindağ could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Toni Schumacher made a huge save. 67 minutes into the match, Teoman Akgündüz notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Kurfalıspor's Toni Schumacher. It was Aslak Overdal who took care of the corner kick. Ufuk Tekindağ made a great header on SÖKE SPOR's corner, it was just that Kurfalıspor's Toni Schumacher managed to reach the ball for a save. SÖKE SPOR's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
