The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Daniel Pancu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cihat Canbek went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Daniel Pancu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Niyazi Işıklar, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Daniel Pancu came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's Cihat Canbek. But to his dismay, Cihat Canbek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Forza Beşiktaş's Daniel Pancu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niyazi Işıklar in the 12th minute of play. Can Tapık struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Ali Orhan Tuncer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Forza Beşiktaş. Ramon Lonzo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Pancu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Can Tapık made a kick off. After 55 minutes, Cebrián Cuervas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Forza Beşiktaş and the MAVİ İSTANBUL FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Forza Beşiktaş getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Cebrián Cuervas hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niyazi Işıklar in the 69th minute of play forced Forza Beşiktaş's goalkeeper Daniel Pancu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Forza Beşiktaş's Daniel Pancu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niyazi Işıklar in the 74th minute of play. Vincent Paimboeuf hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute, MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's Niyazi Işıklar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Daniel Pancu. Daniel Pancu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. MAVİ İSTANBUL FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
