Cláudio-André Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Numan Usman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cláudio-André Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raúl de Queiroz, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Demirhan Kalender fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio-André Taffarel having to interfere. A throw-in in the 31st minute of the game was made by Alim Kadirsah with Raúl de Queiroz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 39th minute, Raúl de Queiroz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ALPEREN FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Hazar Dilşah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raúl de Queiroz to make the kick off.
