Ferman Kamran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enis Behiç Paker in the 4th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hulki Zaid in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferman Kamran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. ASAHİ were awarded a corner in the 20th minute after Newells Old Boys's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Erkan Yetişbey took the corner. Kenny N'Diaye blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferman Kamran having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Başaran Tuncay in the 27th minute of play forced ASAHİ's goalkeeper Ferman Kamran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ferman Kamran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Başaran Tuncay in the 29th minute of play. Ferman Kamran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Enis Behiç Paker, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute Hulki Zaid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferman Kamran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Newells Old Boys's Yalçın Erensoy got control of the ball when Genco Ozansu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ertaç Omay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yalçın Erensoy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Enis Behiç Paker's late challenge caught a ASAHİ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
