Asım Merih was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmet Hakan Akçay in the 18th minute of play forced San Gwann Birlik's goalkeeper Asım Merih to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Cumhur Kemal in the 29th minute of play forced nRdLiFe's goalkeeper Meng Ke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Meng Ke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Cumhur Kemal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Asım Merih showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tór Gaich in the 35th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Meng Ke successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Asım Merih showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Orhan Toycan in the 44th minute of the match. Asım Merih took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Turkka Jatkola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tór Gaich stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute nRdLiFe were awarded a corner. Tór Gaich went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to nRdLiFe's Turkka Jatkola getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. San Gwann Birlik's Asım Merih proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save San Gwann Birlik from getting a goal against them. Asım Merih made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Turkka Jatkola in the 56th minute of play. 56 minutes into the match, Turkka Jatkola had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Asım Merih. San Gwann Birlik's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Turkka Jatkola was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Turkka Jatkola got free with Asım Merih in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Orhan Toycan in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Asım Merih saved San Gwann Birlik from getting behind. In the 82nd minute Ahmet Hakan Akçay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asım Merih saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmet Orhan Toycan took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Asım Merih. Asım Merih dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. In the 86th minute, nRdLiFe's Ahmet Hakan Akçay dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. After some careless play in the San Gwann Birlik defense, Turkka Jatkola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Asım Merih. The San Gwann Birlik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Asım Merih should have stopped the shot.
