Edwin Vestlund's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ahmet Danış Çiftçi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, TECRÜBE SK's Ercan Sabahaddin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xu Yi Lei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ercan Sabahaddin in the 43rd minute of play forced City Friseur Wuppertal's goalkeeper Xu Yi Lei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 47 minutes, Ercan Sabahaddin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. TECRÜBE SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ercan Sabahaddin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ercan Sabahaddin made a kick off. City Friseur Wuppertal made a substitution. Nebi Tokyürek replaced Avram Stegaru. 82 minutes into the game, Edwin Vestlund threw the ball into play from the sideline. TECRÜBE SK's Mustafa Hakan Yiğitoğlu quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 83 minutes into the match, City Friseur Wuppertal's goal looked a bit too open when Ercan Sabahaddin came free, but Xu Yi Lei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
