The ball had pretty good speed, but Adnan Yildıran firmly grabbed it by the left post. Adnan Yildıran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arda Turan in the 6th minute of play. TOKATSPOR's Adnan Yildıran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save TOKATSPOR from getting a goal against them. Tahir Paker kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sven-Olof Vestlund got free with Adnan Yildıran in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by TOKATSPOR's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mehmet Poyraz was slow to take the kick. During this time CAN ERZURUM's players had a chance to rest. Joar Scheie came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by TOKATSPOR's Dimas Aspurua. But to his dismay, Dimas Aspurua quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sven-Olof Vestlund in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adnan Yildıran saved TOKATSPOR from getting behind. 26 minutes into the match, Tahir Paker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joar Scheie. CAN ERZURUM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tahir Paker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Joar Scheie came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by TOKATSPOR's Ömer Urhan. But to his dismay, Ömer Urhan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. CAN ERZURUM's Joar Scheie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ömer Urhan in the 39th minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Khair ad-Din Barbarossa put in a rough tackle. In the 43rd minute, Khair ad-Din Barbarossa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celestino Poncio got free with Adnan Yildıran in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. TOKATSPOR's Adnan Yildıran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save TOKATSPOR from getting a goal against them.

Adnan Yildıran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arda Turan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dimas Aspurua could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Joar Scheie made a huge save. 58 minutes into the match, CAN ERZURUM's goalkeeper Joar Scheie had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norbert Winograd. Adnan Yildıran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celestino Poncio in the 61st minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, TOKATSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Arda Turan came free, but Adnan Yildıran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hüsrev Özyay hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. CAN ERZURUM's Roberto-Carlos Maldini was substituted for Latif Baltacı. When CAN ERZURUM's Sven-Olof Vestlund in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adnan Yildıran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The attack was good, but when Arda Turan in the 73rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 75 minutes into the game, Mehmet Şefik Karadağ was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CAN ERZURUM's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TOKATSPOR the free kick. In the 75th minute, Mehmet Şefik Karadağ hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CAN ERZURUM's Joar Scheie proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save CAN ERZURUM from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baba Popescu in the 83rd minute of play forced TOKATSPOR's goalkeeper Adnan Yildıran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. CAN ERZURUM's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mehmet Poyraz in the 84th minute. Aygün Hikmettin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Joar Scheie when he managed to save the team from getting behind. TOKATSPOR were awarded a corner in the 91th minute after CAN ERZURUM's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Uğur Şanalp took the corner. The corner led TOKATSPOR's Uğur Şanalp to fire away a dangerous shot which Joar Scheie despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Sven-Olof Vestlund kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched TOKATSPOR eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
