Joar Scheie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todor Mitrashkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. Joar Scheie was left in no man's land by his defense there! CAN ERZURUM were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Aslangücü's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mehmet Poyraz took the corner. With a little luck, Aslangücü's Tayfur Demir got control of the ball when Sven-Olof Vestlund tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bacary Roudier took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joar Scheie. Joar Scheie dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When Sven-Olof Vestlund came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the CAN ERZURUM fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sven-Olof Vestlund couldn't finish the play. 37 minutes into the match, CAN ERZURUM's goal looked a bit too open when Bacary Roudier came free, but Joar Scheie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CAN ERZURUM's Joar Scheie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Berkem İnan in the 38th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Olof Vestlund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven-Olof Vestlund in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tayfur Demir prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nano Boninski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Joar Scheie made a huge save. Sven-Olof Vestlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tayfur Demir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Olof Vestlund in the 56th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Sven-Olof Vestlund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CAN ERZURUM made a substitution. Latif Baltacı replaced Hüsrev Özyay. After 64 minutes Aslangücü's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mehmet Poyraz who took care of the corner kick. CAN ERZURUM's Sven-Olof Vestlund got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute of the match, Bacary Roudier got a very nice opportunity to score, but Joar Scheie was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. CAN ERZURUM made a substitution. Roberto-Carlos Maldini replaced Cengizhan Soyurgal. Aslangücü's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Pavel Nedvěd in the 78th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Bacary Roudier heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Joar Scheie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Todor Mitrashkov in the 91st minute of the match. The CAN ERZURUM supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Aslangücü's performance. The match ended with a win for Aslangücü.
