Al Rumaithiya City F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Freiburg the free kick. After 5 played minutes Al Rumaithiya City F.C got a freekick which was hit by Sadeq Al Mosawe. Yasser Boften received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ali Ferdinand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Yasser Boften had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Freiburg's Yasser Boften got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fawaz Al Balool fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bassam Dashti having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Fawaz Al Balool managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Al Rumaithiya City F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fawaz Al Balool was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 21st match minute, Al Rumaithiya City F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saleh Al Ghanem to maneuver through the defense. Ali Ferdinand stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aadil Al Motaire's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. After 25 played minutes Al Rumaithiya City F.C got a freekick which was hit by Khalefa Taqi. Yasser Boften received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ali Ferdinand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 30 played minutes SC Freiburg got a freekick which was hit by Mamdouh Al Attar. In the 34th minute Qutaiba Al Ghanem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Ferdinand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 36 minutes into the match, Al Rumaithiya City F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Yasser Boften came free, but Ali Ferdinand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Fawaz Al Balool managed to get in a good position for a shot. Al Rumaithiya City F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Fawaz Al Balool was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bassam Dashti breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fawaz Al Balool sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Abdelnaser Al Arbash struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Bassam Dashti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Al Rumaithiya City F.C. Fawaz Al Balool received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Bassam Dashti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Bader Al Nasser charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bader Al Nasser the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Al Rumaithiya City F.C getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bader Al Nasser hit a great ball. Ali Ferdinand was a little too slow when Yasser Boften got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-1. Bassam Dashti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fawaz Al Balool, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg's Qutaiba Al Ghanem got a free kick in the 68th minute. Bassam Dashti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdelnaser Al Arbash, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Al Rumaithiya City F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Yasser Boften came free, but Ali Ferdinand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Shaheen Mandane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Fawaz Al Balool put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bassam Dashti. Abdelnaser Al Arbash fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bassam Dashti having to interfere. Abdelnaser Al Arbash blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bassam Dashti having to make a save. In the 95th minute of the match Aamir Al Harban sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bassam Dashti skillfully saved the ball. Bassam Dashti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdelnaser Al Arbash in the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Al Rumaithiya City F.C players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
