Tanek Ochylski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 13 minutes into the match, Al Yarmouk Kuwait's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Bodnar came free, but Bram Kiewit reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bram Kiewit showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pompiliu Bodnar, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Charlie von Clausewitz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mahmoud Al Bloshi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Ochylski having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Ferry Sipayung got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bram Kiewit showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Darweesh Al Mothaf in the 40th minute of the match. In the 41st match minute, Al Yarmouk Kuwait was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gartxot Verdugo to maneuver through the defense. 43 minutes into the match, Pompiliu Bodnar notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Al Yarmouk Kuwait's Bram Kiewit. Bram Kiewit was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute Darweesh Al Mothaf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bram Kiewit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 53 minutes, Pascal Gil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Dulwich United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pascal Gil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Mahmoud Al Bloshi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Charlie von Clausewitz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pascal Gil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Bram Kiewit made a huge save. Charlie von Clausewitz took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tanek Ochylski. Tanek Ochylski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. East Dulwich United's Darweesh Al Mothaf got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pompiliu Bodnar in the 72nd minute of play forced Al Yarmouk Kuwait's goalkeeper Bram Kiewit to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
