Hamzah Al Jalahma came out of the goal and Basel Al Azmi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Basel Al Azmi fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kuwait SC's protests and gave Basel Al Azmi a yellow card for diving instead. Basel Al Azmi kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Santo Porfirio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Richie Sánchez came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Kuwait SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richie Sánchez couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute, Jarah Al Arbash hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aaron Griffith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Waheed Al Rodhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 33 played minutes Kuwait SC got a freekick which was hit by Santo Porfirio. In the 36th minute Richie Sánchez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamzah Al Jalahma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aamir Al Rodhan's late challenge caught a Kuwait SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aamir Al Rodhan helped the player get up and apologised. Aamir Al Rodhan hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. If Santo Porfirio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richie Sánchez struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Hamzah Al Jalahma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kuwait SC. Kentish Town's Hamzah Al Jalahma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Kentish Town from getting a goal against them. Hamzah Al Jalahma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richie Sánchez in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After some careless play in the Kentish Town defense, Richie Sánchez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hamzah Al Jalahma. The Kentish Town fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hamzah Al Jalahma should have stopped the shot. Sultan Bahroh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Hamzah Al Jalahma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Meshal Al Naqi took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Aaron Griffith to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richie Sánchez in the 70th minute of play forced Kentish Town's goalkeeper Hamzah Al Jalahma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Richie Sánchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Kentish Town's Meshal Al Naqi in the 74th minute got a chance for a shot 74th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kuwait SC's goalie prevented a goal. Hamzah Al Jalahma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basel Al Azmi, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Meshal Al Naqi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aaron Griffith having to interfere. If Richie Sánchez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute, Sultan Bahroh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
