The Petersfield fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tsotne Paghava should have stopped the shot. 77 minutes into the match, Marske-by-the-Sea's goal looked a bit too open when Lukhum Gagnidze came free, but Vaja Sulakvidze reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute, Sergey Cheishvili ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vaja Sulakvidze was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. When Charilaos Mouzakis came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Marske-by-the-Sea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Charilaos Mouzakis couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Petersfield fans cheered their team off the field, for while Marske-by-the-Sea had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
