Esmaeel Baghaei Naeeni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danush Kazemian didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bamdad Ansarifard went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. If Esmaeel Baghaei Naeeni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Stockport's Rahim Hashemian got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute of the match Fereydoon Majidi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Shaya Iranian showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pirooz Shojaei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amir Mahdi Omrani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shaya Iranian having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pirooz Shojaei to make the kick off.
