The supporters of Meols booed when Lion Warrior Boys was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sushil Sidhu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute, Anuj Khattqr got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bahupriya Uppal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jatusthira Pal in the 9th minute. Meols's Bahupriya Uppal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Meols from getting a goal against them. Bahupriya Uppal made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Jatusthira Pal sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Lion Warrior Boys's zone, Kandarpaketu Attwal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rajendar Dhudwal came out of the goal and Kandarpaketu Attwal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Arjuni Naik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Lion Warrior Boys's zone, Kandarpaketu Attwal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rajendar Dhudwal came out of the goal and Kandarpaketu Attwal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Girijaprasada Ojha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bahupriya Uppal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jatusthira Pal got free with Bahupriya Uppal in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Lion Warrior Boys getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Sushil Sidhu hit a great ball. Anuj Khattqr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rajendar Dhudwal having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Arjuni Naik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Girijaprasada Ojha made a kick off. Arjuni Naik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the game, Girijaprasada Ojha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Bahupriya Uppal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 84thth minute of the game Anuj Khattqr who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lion Warrior Boys's Rajendar Dhudwal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Anuj Khattqr managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meols's supporters rose to their feet, but Anuj Khattqr was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rajendar Dhudwal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 93 minutes, Abhyavarsini Attariwala mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lion Warrior Boys and the Meols players grew even worse after the yellow card. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Lion Warrior Boys were victorious despite being under pressure from Meols for much of the match.
