In the 20th minute Anuyayin Jammu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Citvata Sailo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, SIKKIM AFC's Rasgun Nijjar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Massem Gala narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A hard shot 27 in the game by Campeya Reel from a close distance when the talented Citvata Sailo managed to make a qualified save. SIKKIM AFC's players were relieved. Campeya Reel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With his leg Citvata Sailo managed to avoid a goal in the 34thth minute, when Polaris's Campeya Reel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Anuyayin Jammu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Campeya Reel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Citvata Sailo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dhanavanta Walia charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dhanavanta Walia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, Polaris was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dhanavanta Walia to maneuver through the defense. Campeya Reel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Citvata Sailo having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anuyayin Jammu to strike the kick off in the second half. When Polaris's Anuyayin Jammu in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Citvata Sailo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Campeya Reel, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Anuyayin Jammu put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Citvata Sailo. Anuyayin Jammu scored 2-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Citvata Sailo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Citvata Sailo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Campeya Reel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Shanker Lalli fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Polaris's protests and gave Shanker Lalli a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anuyayin Jammu in the 89th minute of play forced SIKKIM AFC's goalkeeper Citvata Sailo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
