In the 8th minute of the match, Aksaya Solanki tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Namjeev Kelkar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Aksaya Solanki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Harstia Uppal who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Namjeev Kelkar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 21 minutes into the game, Otterham FC's Auttamika Ghag nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kratupati Ghuman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 24 minutes, Vikram Parmar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frome United and the Otterham FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Otterham FC booed when Frome United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vikram Parmar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Otterham FC's Kakila Bajaj couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Frome United. The audience was convinced that Aksaya Solanki's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Namjeev Kelkar was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. 30 minutes into the match, Frome United's Bhumisvara Deshpande sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Namjeev Kelkar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Frome United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Harstia Uppal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Namjeev Kelkar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 77 minutes, Harstia Uppal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frome United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harstia Uppal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aksaya Solanki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeman Jain's late challenge caught a Frome United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jeman Jain helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute Harstia Uppal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Namjeev Kelkar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jaigata Bahia hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Namjeev Kelkar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aksaya Solanki's shot from short distance in the 86th minute.
