Spectators: 6835 (Terracing: 5050, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 10) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hridayesa Sekhon started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute of the match Shashi Bawa shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jinraj Shetty showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hridayesa Sekhon in the 4th minute of play forced Taverham FC's goalkeeper Harinder Mondol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Anurag Chana dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jinraj Shetty, 1-0. With a little luck, Woodbridge's Jinraj Shetty got control of the ball when Massem Basrai tried to sneak it across the goal line. Taverham FC's Harinder Mondol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krishanin Kang in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Woodbridge's zone, Massem Basrai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jinraj Shetty came out of the goal and Massem Basrai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Uttampal Chopra fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Woodbridge's protests and gave Uttampal Chopra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st match minute, Woodbridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uttampal Chopra to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute, Massem Basrai got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 27 minutes into the match, Taverham FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hridayesa Sekhon came free, but Harinder Mondol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jinraj Shetty showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anurag Chana in the 33rd minute of the match. Hridayesa Sekhon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Harinder Mondol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Hridayesa Sekhon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hridayesa Sekhon in the 46th minute of play forced Taverham FC's goalkeeper Harinder Mondol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anurag Chana to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Woodbridge got a freekick which was hit by Bikarma Bajwa. In the 60th minute, Hridayesa Sekhon fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Harinder Mondol, passed just outside the right post. Harinder Mondol made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Krishanin Kang sent off a good shot on target. After 71 played minutes Taverham FC got a freekick which was hit by Amitaruci Dutta. 87 minutes into the game, Taverham FC's Massem Basrai nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jinraj Shetty made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Massem Basrai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Jinraj Shetty tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gurudasa Gurai shot from long distance in the 98th minute, but Harinder Mondol was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. For all the effort they put into the match, the Woodbridge players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Taverham FC.
