Caruhasan Ghoshal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Festas in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Caruhasan Ghoshal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Cătălin Mandoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atamas Dambria in the 10th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Adolfo Festas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Caruhasan Ghoshal, 1-0. With his leg Caruhasan Ghoshal managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Clanfield's Adolfo Festas fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Clanfield getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Dayanidhi Mondol hit a great ball. Adolfo Festas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caruhasan Ghoshal having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Jugala Anand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 27 minutes into the match, Clanfield's Adolfo Festas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caruhasan Ghoshal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of HAMMER booed when Clanfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar More didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cătălin Mandoiu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sobha Mandal, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After 37 minutes, Jugala Anand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HAMMER and the Clanfield players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, HAMMER was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jugala Anand to maneuver through the defense. Caruhasan Ghoshal was a little too slow when Adolfo Festas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 2-0. 44 minutes into the match, Adolfo Festas notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of HAMMER's Caruhasan Ghoshal. Caruhasan Ghoshal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Atamas Dambria was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Festas in the 57th minute of play forced HAMMER's goalkeeper Caruhasan Ghoshal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caruhasan Ghoshal came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Clanfield's Omar More. But to his dismay, Omar More quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After some careless play in the HAMMER defense, Omar More kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Caruhasan Ghoshal. The HAMMER fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Caruhasan Ghoshal should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute, Dayanidhi Mondol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Caruhasan Ghoshal was frozen by the shot and now it was 7-0. Sridhar Sharma charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sridhar Sharma the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sridhar Sharma hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Clanfield's Dayanidhi Mondol got a free kick in the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Adolfo Festas in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caruhasan Ghoshal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caruhasan Ghoshal came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Clanfield's Adolfo Festas. But to his dismay, Adolfo Festas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Adolfo Festas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Caruhasan Ghoshal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 85 minutes of play, Clanfield's Omar More made it 9-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Caruhasan Ghoshal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Omar More sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jugala Anand made in the 93rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Clanfield's Agnibha Sachdeva. Caruhasan Ghoshal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Festas, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. There was no doubt that Clanfield were the better team. Clanfield's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
