Huang Xiong took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adithep Seeten. Adithep Seeten dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Huang Xiong recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes in the game Tato Valines did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Komjak Sangtip. Chiang Mai Football Club's Adithep Seeten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huang Xiong in the 34th minute of play. Chiang Mai Football Club's Damrongphon Manjek managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ignazio Becerro in the 36 minute of the game. Huang Xiong scored 0-3 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adithep Seeten, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huang Xiong in the 41st minute of play forced Chiang Mai Football Club's goalkeeper Adithep Seeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Huang Xiong, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 41 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Adithep Seeten was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Thanan Javaus made in the 47th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Chiang Mai Football Club's Damrongphon Manjek. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rachanont Kankla made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Chiang Mai Football Club's goal looked a bit too open when Matt Benton came free, but Adithep Seeten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Huang Xiong got free with Adithep Seeten in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 60th minute, Matt Benton reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Adithep Seeten. The goal made the score 0-5. 64 minutes into the match, Chiang Mai Football Club's goalkeeper Adithep Seeten had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Huang Xiong. Adithep Seeten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maxim Curăreanu in the 67th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Ignazio Becerro in the 69th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Chiang Mai Football Club's Damrongphon Manjek.
