In the 8th minute Vladimir de Sena shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Nițescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Don Cabezon managed to get in a good position for a shot. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Don Cabezon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ray Clemence breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ray Clemence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Don Cabezon in the 14th minute of play. Ray Clemence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Cabezon, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Ryszard Owsiak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dé 孙权 kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Angelo Borges made a kick off. Dacian Nițescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Borges, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Ryszard Owsiak made in the 69th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Bobby Pires immediately put the ball in play. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dewa Warauw was substituted for Don Cabezon. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Jajat Mustari was substituted for Bobby Pires. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dewa Warauw in the 86th minute of play forced PHOENIX SC's goalkeeper Ray Clemence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Angelo Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dacian Nițescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. With a little luck, PHOENIX SC's Ray Clemence got control of the ball when Dede Akmal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dede Akmal kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot PHOENIX SC's keeper Ray Clemence was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. When AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dewa Warauw in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PHOENIX SC's goalie prevented a goal. Ryszard Owsiak was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
