Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bắc Giang's Huỳnh Diem started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nguyễn Pham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Lien having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huỳnh Diem in the 10th minute of play forced Qui Nhon's goalkeeper Trần Tinh to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Nguyễn Binh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trần Tinh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Bắc Giang's Lương Hoang got a free kick in the 19th minute. Nguyễn Pham fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lê Lien having to interfere. Bắc Giang's Lê Lien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Văn Hong in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Bắc Giang's Trần Nga got a free kick in the 31st minute. When Qui Nhon's Nguyễn Pham in 32 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Lê Lien guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Huỳnh Diem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bắc Giang's supporters rose to their feet, but Huỳnh Diem was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trần Tinh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 36th match minute, Qui Nhon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Đặng Huỳnh to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Huỳnh Diem managed to get in a good position for a shot. Văn Hong struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Lê Lien didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Qui Nhon. Huỳnh Diem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Tinh having to interfere. After 69 minutes, Hoàng Pham mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bắc Giang and the Qui Nhon players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Bắc Giang getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Hoàng Pham hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the game, one of Qui Nhon:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 73rd minute there was a penalty for Bắc Giang. Trần Nga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Trần Tinh. 0-1. Lê Lien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Văn Hong in the 76th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Bắc Giang's goal looked a bit too open when Văn Hong came free, but Lê Lien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lê Lien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Văn Hong in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Bắc Giang getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Phan Thien hit a great ball. Lê Lien stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nguyễn Pham's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. After some careless play in the Qui Nhon defense, Nguyễn Binh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trần Tinh. The Qui Nhon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trần Tinh should have stopped the shot. In the 96th match minute, Bắc Giang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hoàng Pham to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Bắc Giang had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
