Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nguyễn Tuan took the kick off in the first half of the match. Nguyễn Hoang charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Hoang the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd match minute, phong deptrai was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Hoang to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in phong deptrai's zone, Nguyễn Tuan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Phuc came out of the goal and Nguyễn Tuan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lê Cuc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Hieu kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. La Tuan Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Phan Hong Minh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Nam Dinh booed when phong deptrai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Tuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17thth minute of the game Nguyễn Tuan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but phong deptrai's Trần Phuc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. La Tuan Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Phan Hong Minh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vũ Duc kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. In the 36th minute of the match Lê Duc shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Phan Hong Minh showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nguyễn Tuyet who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 38thth minute tested the skills of Phan Hong Minh when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nguyễn Tuan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Trần Phuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Tuyet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Tuyet might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Phan Hong Minh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Tuyet ran back to his position shaking his head. After the first half Nam Dinh were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell La Tuan Hoang to make the kick off. 62 minutes into the match, Lê Cuc dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Trần Phuc, 0-2. Nguyễn Tuan kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Nam Dinh's Lê Chung got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Nguyễn Loc, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 87th play minute Lê Cuc came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Trần Phuc. 0-3. Phan Hong Minh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Tuyet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Nguyễn Tuyet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Hong Minh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. phong deptrai's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Nguyễn Tuan scored to the left of an out of position Trần Phuc, making the score, 0-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Nam Dinh eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
