The supporters of HA NOI booed when Quang Ninh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phạm Phong didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hoàng Phu in the 26th minute of play forced Quang Ninh's goalkeeper Lương Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lê Dung in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trần Bien saved HA NOI from getting behind. Lê Thai kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Quang Ninh's Lương Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dương Nam in the 39th minute of play. 42 minutes into the game, Phan Minh Phượng was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HA NOI's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Quang Ninh the free kick. In the 42nd minute, Phan Minh Phượng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hoàng Dong, 43 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Quang Ninh's Lương Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Minh Phượng in the 52nd minute of play. 53 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Liem cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Trần Bien was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Lê Thai was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 55 minutes had been played. In the 56th minute, Lê Thai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to HA NOI getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Hoàng Phu hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Dương Nam kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lương Hong. That made the score 1-1 in the 59 minute of play. Trần Lan's late challenge caught a Quang Ninh's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trần Lan helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to HA NOI getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Trần Lan hit a great ball. Hoàng Phu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lương Hong having to interfere. Dương Nam succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 70th playminute. When Dương Nam came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the HA NOI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dương Nam couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the game, Lê Dung was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Quang Ninh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HA NOI the free kick. After a rather tough play, Quang Ninh's Lê Dung got a free kick in the 80th minute. Bùi Hieu Ngan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Hoàng Phu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Lương Hong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dương Nam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Quang Ninh supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching HA NOI's performance. The match ended with a win for HA NOI.
