Spectators: 10800 (Terracing: 8101, Seating: 2484, VIP seats: 215) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marcelo Oto started the match with the kick off. Frans Ooms came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by bạn bè's Lê Phuong. In the 9th match minute, Cao Bang Red Star was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hoàng Duc to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute Lê Minh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frans Ooms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cao Bang Red Star's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Đặng Hong was slow to take the kick. During this time bạn bè's players had a chance to rest. The supporters of bạn bè booed when Cao Bang Red Star was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frans Ooms was a little too slow when Lê Minh got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 3-0. In the 28th match minute, bạn bè was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Liem to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lê Diem got free with Frans Ooms in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute Marcelo Oto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frans Ooms saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, bạn bè's Đặng Hong broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. 51 minutes into the game, Marcelo Oto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Frans Ooms was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lê Diem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frans Ooms having to interfere. Cao Bang Red Star were furious when Hoàng Duc was red carded, 57 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 56 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cao Bang Red Star! In the 62nd minute, Lê Phuong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The bạn bè fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-1. Liễu Phu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Wictor Smitt made a huge save. In the 74th minute of the match Đặng Hong shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frans Ooms showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 75th minute, Lê Diem ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frans Ooms was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Frans Ooms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Diem, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Nguyễn Liem left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. In the 87th minute, Hoàng Phuoc got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Liễu Phu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Wictor Smitt made a huge save. Cao Bang Red Star's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
