Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Anil Shyan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Derby's Alam Phua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anil Shyan in the 3rd minute of play. Aziz Hsin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khairul Lee in the 10th minute of play. If Anil Shyan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan Hian kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Khairul Lee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aziz Hsin having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anil Shyan in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alam Phua saved Derby from getting behind. In the 22nd minute of the match, Anil Shyan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Alam Phua saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 23rd minute, Faiz Liang got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Aziz Hsin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rifqi Hongyi, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a rather tough play, Royal Gunners FC's Darryl Yi-Sheng got a free kick in the 25th minute. When Anil Shyan came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Royal Gunners FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anil Shyan couldn't finish the play. Wei Xuan Namasivayam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sean Liang fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Derby's protests and gave Sean Liang a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Sean Liang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 37 minutes, Khairul Lee managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Derby's supporters crossed their fingers, but Khairul Lee was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th match minute, Royal Gunners FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronn Dhanabalan to maneuver through the defense. After 41 played minutes Darryl Lim shot from long distance. At first the shot seemed to be simple for Royal Gunners FC's Aziz Hsin to catch but Darryl Lim was lucky. It became 1-1 after the goalkeeper had been careless and dropped the ball into goal. 45 minutes into the match, Royal Gunners FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rifqi Hongyi came free, but Aziz Hsin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 minutes, Anil Shyan made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Derby's Alam Phua tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Khairul Lee was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Derby's Dale Nagasaki got a free kick in the 53rd minute. After 55 played minutes Royal Gunners FC got a freekick which was hit by Ronn Dhanabalan. Khairul Lee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Anil Shyan sped through Derby's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alam Phua. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rifqi Hongyi got free with Aziz Hsin in the 68th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 73 minutes into the match, Royal Gunners FC's goal looked a bit too open when Khairul Lee came free, but Aziz Hsin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 74 minutes into the match, Anil Shyan notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Derby's Alam Phua. Alam Phua was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Dale Nagasaki kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Wong Tian during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Derby getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Khairul Lee hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 6-2 when Anil Shyan sped through Derby's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alam Phua. After a rather tough play, Derby's Khairul Lee got a free kick in the 91st minute. The supporters of Royal Gunners FC booed when Derby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dale Nagasaki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Royal Gunners FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
