Bryan Devan ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 9th minute, Mark Hock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 11th play minutes Bryan Devan shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Albert Butcher and just under the crossbar into goal. 14 minutes into the game, Bryan Devan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Albert Butcher was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 18 minutes, Bryan Devan made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Waterfoot's Albert Butcher tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bryan Devan in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Butcher prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wong Devan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. The supporters of 苏州觅香足球俱乐部 booed when Waterfoot was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerry Kang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Albert Butcher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ong Siang, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Albert Butcher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bryan Devan in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Waterfoot's goal looked a bit too open when Bryan Devan came free, but Albert Butcher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albert Butcher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bryan Devan's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faris Lee was the one to do the kick off. Wong Devan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Albert Butcher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ong Siang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryan Devan in the 55th minute of play forced Waterfoot's goalkeeper Albert Butcher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
