Spectators: 7742 (Terracing: 5808, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 154) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hank Pegler got the match started through his kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hank Pegler in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bill Hollingworth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 5 minutes into the match, Clevedon's goalkeeper Benson Hunter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milton Boots. Bill Hollingworth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dale Hanlen, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bill Beaverley in the 11th minute of play forced Clevedon's goalkeeper Benson Hunter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Boris Keato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 21 minutes into the game, White City Eagles's Milton Boots nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benson Hunter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Jordon Wittber's late challenge caught a White City Eagles's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jordon Wittber helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of White City Eagles booed when Clevedon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jordon Wittber didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in White City Eagles fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! In the 29th minute there was a penalty for Clevedon. Herman Triplett stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bill Hollingworth. 1-1. In the 33rd minute, Hank Pegler made a precise shot to the right of Bill Hollingworth. White City Eagles's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Bill Hollingworth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hank Pegler, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Hank Pegler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 39 minutes into the match, Dale Hanlen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bill Hollingworth. White City Eagles's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dale Hanlen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The audience was convinced that Dale Hanlen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bill Hollingworth was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Bill Hollingworth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hank Pegler in the 45th minute of play. The White City Eagles players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Clevedon were winning 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bill Beaverley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, White City Eagles's Bill Hollingworth got control of the ball when Dale Hanlen tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Hank Pegler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bill Hollingworth was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. 66 minutes into the match, Clevedon's goal looked a bit too open when Bill Beaverley came free, but Benson Hunter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute, Hank Pegler reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bill Hollingworth. The goal made the score 1-5. White City Eagles's Bill Hollingworth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hank Pegler in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute Hank Pegler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bill Hollingworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Clevedon's Cornelius Keam got a free kick in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in White City Eagles's zone, Dale Hanlen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bill Hollingworth came out of the goal and Dale Hanlen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dale Hanlen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hank Pegler spun around in front of the goal 88 minutes in the game and got away a good shot, but Bill Hollingworth grabbed the ball before it went up in top right corner. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bryan Tinsley during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The White City Eagles supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Clevedon's performance. The match ended with a win for Clevedon.
