Gregg Potter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angelo Clarke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 9 minutes into the game, Doyle Bostock was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clairville's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kotara the free kick. After 9 played minutes Clairville got a freekick which was hit by Doyle Bostock. In the 15thth minute of the game Zackery Claringbold who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kotara's Gregg Potter was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Zackery Claringbold's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gregg Potter was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 26th minute, Angelo Clarke left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Clairville fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 31st minute, Nilson Ross ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Brown Dobson was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 38 minutes into the match, Kotara's Nathaniel Plummer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brown Dobson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Clairville's goalkeeper Brown Dobson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nilson Ross. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marshal Greenbank during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marshal Greenbank kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. When Russ Freeman fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 44th minute of the match Bartholemew Tisdell sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Brown Dobson skillfully saved the ball. If Nathaniel Plummer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nathaniel Plummer was the one to do the kick off. Nathaniel Plummer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brown Dobson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilson Ross, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61st minute, Marshal Greenbank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Kotara's Bartholemew Tisdell broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Brown Dobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathaniel Plummer in the 64th minute of play. Clairville's Brown Dobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nathaniel Plummer in the 74th minute of play. Gregg Potter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zackery Claringbold, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Zackery Claringbold was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Brown Dobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathaniel Plummer in the 80th minute of play. If Angelo Clarke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Clairville's zone, Nilson Ross stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brown Dobson came out of the goal and Nilson Ross tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Kotara supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Clairville's performance. The match ended with a win for Clairville.
