With his leg Marshall Chant managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Tugun Jets FC's Burns Claringbold fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. If Rory William had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rory William received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marshall Chant came out and tried to block the shot, but Rory William slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 42nd minute.
