Seating: 1971, VIP seats: 171) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rudy Gummow got the match started through his kick off. Philip Luckham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brye Awage in the 7th minute of play. In the 9th minute, Melbourne 007's Rudy Gummow dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rudy Gummow in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip Luckham saved Mingoola from getting behind. Brye Awage sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Melbourne 007's Rudy Gummow in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mingoola's goalie prevented a goal. Gregory Sibbold hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute Rudy Gummow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Philip Luckham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Philip Luckham didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Melbourne 007's Rudy Gummow shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Rudy Gummow was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 40th minute. Melbourne 007's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 44th minute, Brandon Galvin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudy Gummow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edwardo Stafford's late challenge caught a Melbourne 007's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edwardo Stafford helped the player get up and apologised. Edwardo Stafford kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. In the 48th minute, Rudy Gummow got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jamese Mewburn made a kick off. If Rudy Gummow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brye Awage took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Philip Luckham. Philip Luckham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Philip Luckham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rudy Gummow, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Melbourne 007's Rudy Gummow in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mingoola's goalie prevented a goal. After some careless play in the Mingoola defense, Brye Awage kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Philip Luckham. The Mingoola fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Philip Luckham should have stopped the shot. Philip Luckham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudy Gummow, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Melbourne 007 were awarded a corner in the 65th minute after Mingoola's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Abraham Convine took the corner. Mingoola's Philip Luckham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rudy Gummow in the 69th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Abraham Convine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melbourne 007's supporters rose to their feet, but Abraham Convine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Luckham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 73 minutes of play, Melbourne 007's Rudy Gummow made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Philip Luckham was left in no man's land by his defense there! 78 minutes into the match, Melbourne 007's goal looked a bit too open when Edwardo Stafford came free, but Broderick Ceney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, Brye Awage left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Melbourne 007 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Rudy Gummow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Philip Luckham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brandon Galvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Philip Luckham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rudy Gummow's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. 88 minutes into the game, Rudy Gummow cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Philip Luckham was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 92 minutes into the game, Melbourne 007's Brye Awage nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Philip Luckham made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. In the 95th minute, Rudy Gummow made a precise shot to the right of Philip Luckham. Mingoola's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 12-0. Melbourne 007 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
