Corbett Alonso went to the cornerflag to take it. When Steven Chaptal fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elderslie Magpies's protests and gave Steven Chaptal a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of PavelT booed when Elderslie Magpies was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Steven Chaptal didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cullen Owen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 29 played minutes, PavelT's Dalton Lambourne shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Aden Couzens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PavelT reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steven Chaptal in the 30th minute of play forced PavelT's goalkeeper Antony Coignet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Antony Coignet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidio Etxekopar's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. In the 33rd minute Rick Souness shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antony Coignet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Ovidio Etxekopar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute, Cornelius Brooks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cullen Owen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Elderslie Magpies's Steven Chaptal was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. In the 58thth minute of the game Cullen Owen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Elderslie Magpies's Aden Couzens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cullen Owen in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aden Couzens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute, Steven Chaptal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Steven Chaptal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antony Coignet having to interfere. Neal Weatherby's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antony Coignet read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. 68 minutes into the match, Elderslie Magpies's goal looked a bit too open when Cullen Owen came free, but Aden Couzens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. PavelT's Fausto Pereira quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mateusz Klich, made in the 70th minute of the game. A collision led to Elderslie Magpies getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Mateusz Klich hit a great ball. Elderslie Magpies made a substitution. Ryszard Cipa replaced Szczepan Zieba. Aden Couzens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cullen Owen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Steven Chaptal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Antony Coignet was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. In the 86th minute, Burns Muller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elderslie Magpies made a substitution. Arty Behla replaced Burns Muller.
