When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Jess Fenwick put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Davey Curtis. In the 16th minute, Dalwood Gillingwater hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jess Fenwick received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Davey Curtis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Antonia Fessey during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hellscream booed when Pensioners 2.0 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Antonia Fessey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pensioners 2.0's Davey Curtis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jess Fenwick in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jess Fenwick in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Davey Curtis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the match, Pensioners 2.0's goal looked a bit too open when Bray Harkness came free, but Davey Curtis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Davey Curtis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brown Tisdell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes, Andrew Norden mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pensioners 2.0 and the Hellscream players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Pensioners 2.0 got a freekick which was hit by Andrew Norden. In the 34th minute, Jess Fenwick made a precise shot to the right of Davey Curtis. Pensioners 2.0's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Hellscream's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Quincy Fitzsimmons 39 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. The Pensioners 2.0 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hellscream were winning 1-3.

In the 54thth minute of the game Darley Woods who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hellscream's Edmonds Didlock was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edmonds Didlock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andrew Norden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Davey Curtis managed to avoid a goal in the 65thth minute, when Hellscream's Jess Fenwick fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 68 minutes into the game, Darley Woods was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pensioners 2.0's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hellscream the free kick. A collision led to Pensioners 2.0 getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Darley Woods hit a great ball. With his leg Davey Curtis managed to avoid a goal in the 69thth minute, when Hellscream's Jess Fenwick fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 80th minute Andrew Norden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmonds Didlock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jess Fenwick in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Davey Curtis saved Pensioners 2.0 from getting behind. Jess Fenwicks short, quick shot in the 88thth minute got Davey Curtis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 91 minutes, Antonia Fessey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pensioners 2.0's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonia Fessey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Jess Fenwick notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Pensioners 2.0's Davey Curtis. Davey Curtis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
