Carlos Vickery made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pierre Lowes in the 13th minute. A collision led to Kangaroos getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Phil Chapman hit a great ball. Carlos Vickery made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lorimer Rear in the 17th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Milan's Carman Eicke nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Vickery made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 24 minutes into the match, Lorimer Rear had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carlos Vickery. Kangaroos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lorimer Rear was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Murdock Hitchen during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes Kangaroos got a freekick which was hit by Murdock Hitchen. In the 34th minute Carver Shipp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Vickery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Vickery showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lorimer Rear, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 40th minute, Caine Pearson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Nash Pukallus had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adolph Mcinnes. Adolph Mcinnes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caine Pearson in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Nash Pukallus made the kick off in the second half. Milan's Adolph Mcinnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nash Pukallus in the 51st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Milan's zone, Caine Pearson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adolph Mcinnes came out of the goal and Caine Pearson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Carver Shipp came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Milan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carver Shipp couldn't finish the play. If Nash Pukallus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 67th minute Lorimer Rear shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Vickery saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andres Minne hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Adam Clubley lost his temper 70 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of Kangaroos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Milan:s goal. Carlos Vickery made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carver Shipp in the 75th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Milan's corner Carman Eicke fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Carlos Vickery quite easily take care of the ball. In the 77th minute of the match Milan got a corner. Kangaroos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Carman Eicke ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carver Shipp in the 80th minute of play forced Kangaroos's goalkeeper Carlos Vickery to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Phil Chapman hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Kangaroos's Carlos Vickery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dacosta Johnson in the 83rd minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Kangaroos's goal looked a bit too open when Dacosta Johnson came free, but Carlos Vickery reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rodd Didlick came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Kangaroos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodd Didlick couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Milan fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kangaroos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
