Spectators: 8000 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 160) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fabrício Vinhas kicked off to start the match. Júnior Souto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cai Inestrosa's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Southern Thrashers's Nils-Erik Askelöf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Cochrane in the 9th minute of play. In the 17th minute Alberto Cochrane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils-Erik Askelöf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Júnior Souto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cai Inestrosa's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. In the 21st match minute, Quagitup was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Cochrane to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Cai Inestrosa put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Júnior Souto. 35 minutes into the match, Southern Thrashers's Cai Inestrosa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júnior Souto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Bleyd Dorrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cai Inestrosa in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júnior Souto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabrício Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Nils-Erik Askelöf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Southern Thrashers getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Oz Beer hit a great ball. After 48 played minutes Quagitup got a freekick which was hit by Howard Shirdon. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cai Inestrosa to strike the kick off in the second half. Júnior Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jackson Millgate in the 54th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cai Inestrosa in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júnior Souto saved Quagitup from getting behind. The supporters of Southern Thrashers booed when Quagitup was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luke Coleman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Angelino Ospin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Júnior Souto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Júnior Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jackson Millgate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69thth minute of the game Cai Inestrosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quagitup's Júnior Souto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 70th minute of the match Southern Thrashers got a corner. Quagitup's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nurkan Salah ran over to the corner to take the kick. Southern Thrashers's Nurkan Salah was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Júnior Souto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Southern Thrashers's Angelino Ospin got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 72 minutes, Cai Inestrosa made it 7-0 with a short kick to the right side. Quagitup's Júnior Souto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Júnior Souto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angelino Ospin went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Angelino Ospin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júnior Souto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Cai Inestrosa put it in 9-0 from a short distance just to the right of Júnior Souto. After 87 minutes, Cai Inestrosa made it 10-0 with a short kick to the right side. Quagitup's Júnior Souto tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The Southern Thrashers fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Southern Thrashers's Cai Inestrosa looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 11-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Southern Thrashers were awarded a corner in the 93th minute after Quagitup's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Nurkan Salah took the corner. The corner led Southern Thrashers's Nurkan Salah to fire away a dangerous shot which Júnior Souto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Júnior Souto came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Southern Thrashers's Cai Inestrosa. But to his dismay, Cai Inestrosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 12-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Southern Thrashers fully deserved thier win.
