The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, Fabian Rywin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Patrick Armstrong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Herminio Mercurio took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patrick Armstrong. Patrick Armstrong dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 17th match minute, 1984 Castelli Futbol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesar Macario to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute Fabian Rywin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patrick Armstrong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrick Armstrong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cesare Chiarelli in the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd match minute, ManagerZone Crew was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thorsten Dietz to maneuver through the defense. When Peter Linkhorst came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the ManagerZone Crew fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peter Linkhorst couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesar Macario in the 32nd minute of play forced ManagerZone Crew's goalkeeper Patrick Armstrong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd minute 1984 Castelli Futbol were awarded a corner. Herminio Mercurio went to the cornerflag to take it. It was a well-played corner which Nafiz Tekke managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 34th match minute, ManagerZone Crew was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thorsten Dietz to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Peter Linkhorst dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Edu Atila, 1-2. 44 minutes into the match, ManagerZone Crew's goal looked a bit too open when Severiano Lopes came free, but Patrick Armstrong reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edu Atila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Linkhorst in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
An unexpectedly hard shot by Thorbjörn Olerius in the 53rd minute of play forced 1984 Castelli Futbol's goalkeeper Edu Atila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Severiano Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patrick Armstrong was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Herminio Mercurio. After 60 played minutes 1984 Castelli Futbol got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Macario. ManagerZone Crew's Patrick Armstrong proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save ManagerZone Crew from getting a goal against them. After having played for 65 minutes, Robert Ununger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ManagerZone Crew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Ununger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Severiano Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Patrick Armstrong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Cesare Chiarelli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1984 Castelli Futbol's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ManagerZone Crew the free kick. Cesare Chiarelli hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After 80 played minutes ManagerZone Crew got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Våleman. Edu Atila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrian Våleman, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. When Cesare Chiarelli was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 85 minutes had been played. Cesare Chiarelli hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 87 played minutes 1984 Castelli Futbol got a freekick which was hit by Cesare Chiarelli. Herminio Mercurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1984 Castelli Futbol's Edu Atila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Ununger in the 94th minute of play. Patrick Armstrong was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Severiano Lopes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Severiano Lopes really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. The ManagerZone Crew fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. 1984 Castelli Futbol were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
