In the 19th minute Antoni Skarpiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurențiu Ene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute, Walery Falk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 28th minute of the match Fc Universitatea Cluj got a corner. KP Karmel's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Marin Buzescu ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Fc Universitatea Cluj's Tautrimas Čepulis to a score. 2-1 in the 28th minute. KP Karmel's Antoni Skarpiak pulled a muscle in his back after 31 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciprian Amitroaiei during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. KP Karmel made a substitution. Miroslaw Jeziorkowski replaced Antoni Skarpiak. David Pacuraru hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Jacek Fleszar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fc Universitatea Cluj.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sever Tomulescu to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maciej Pietrowski in the 54th minute of play forced Fc Universitatea Cluj's goalkeeper Laurențiu Ene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stasio Kloczko in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Laurențiu Ene prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 67 minutes into the match, KP Karmel's Stasio Kloczko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Laurențiu Ene narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jacek Fleszar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tautrimas Čepulis in the 69th minute of the match. Valeriu Sădeanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Laurențiu Ene took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stasio Kloczko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laurențiu Ene stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stasio Kloczko's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. In the 86th minute, Manole Văleanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Marius Covataru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Feliks Konopka, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stasio Kloczko in the 96th minute of play forced Fc Universitatea Cluj's goalkeeper Laurențiu Ene to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
