Lennart Härm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reko Nybacka having to interfere. Catugi FC's Walmir Pombal got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Carloforte f.c. getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Ettore Brunetta hit a great ball. Reko Nybacka stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dobromir Adamowicz's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Ettore Brunetta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Alberto Soares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Waclaw Zajonc having to make a save. Waclaw Zajonc made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Walmir Pombal sent off a good shot on target. Waclaw Zajonc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carlos Alberto Soares's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Carloforte f.c.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Vicente Valladares was slow to take the kick. During this time Catugi FC's players had a chance to rest. Carlos Alberto Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Carloforte f.c.'s goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Alberto Soares came free, but Waclaw Zajonc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaime França kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Carlos Alberto Soares sped through Carloforte f.c.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Waclaw Zajonc. After a defensive mix-up in Carloforte f.c.'s zone, Carlos Alberto Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waclaw Zajonc came out of the goal and Carlos Alberto Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lennart Härm succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 59th playminute. In the 63rd minute Carlos Alberto Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waclaw Zajonc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90thth minute of the game Carlos Alberto Soares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carloforte f.c.'s Waclaw Zajonc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Carlos Alberto Soares put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Waclaw Zajonc. Waclaw Zajonc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
