In the 14th match minute, Zijdewind SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cyryl Siwy to maneuver through the defense. Ralph Scholte made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arty Eightman in the 15th minute of play. After 16 played minutes Zijdewind SC got a freekick which was hit by Giovanni Buskermolen. O. M. G. DaRush made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cyryl Siwy in the 22nd minute. Rik de Graaf hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Ralph Scholte stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arty Eightman's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 31stth minute of the game Arty Eightman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Zijdewind SC's Ralph Scholte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Arty Eightman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralph Scholte was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. O. M. G. DaRush took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Eusko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. DaRush was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 96th minute, Manny Mills ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ralph Scholte was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The Zijdewind SC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
