Adam Northe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcial Uzuri in the 25th minute of play. Gustavo Peli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Northe having to interfere. In the 29th minute of the match Modesto Txeru shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Adam Northe showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Lynkeus Stavropoulos came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Forever Tango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lynkeus Stavropoulos couldn't finish the play. In the 34th minute Ansgar Küpper-Adebisi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin van der Sar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, Gustavo Peli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Marcial Uzuri managed to get in a good position for a shot. Forever Tango's supporters rose to their feet, but Marcial Uzuri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adam Northe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 38th minute, Mario Bernhauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 39th minute, Marcial Uzuri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Rot-Weiss-Essen players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Forever Tango were winning 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lynkeus Stavropoulos was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th minute, Lynkeus Stavropoulos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Forever Tango fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper Adam Northe, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcial Uzuri was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 58th minute. Forever Tango's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 59th minute, Forever Tango's Lynkeus Stavropoulos ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Adam Northe. Adam Northe yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. After having played for 62 minutes, Marcial Uzuri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forever Tango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcial Uzuri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute of the match, Gustavo Peli got a very nice opportunity to score, but Adam Northe was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The supporters of Forever Tango booed when Rot-Weiss-Essen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philipp Goldkuhle didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Modesto Txeru recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adam Northe. Modesto Txeru showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Lynkeus Stavropoulos took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Adam Northe to make any attempt to save it. In the 80th minute, Maximilian Henning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Rot-Weiss-Essen getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Orlando Stegmann hit a great ball. Adam Northe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lynkeus Stavropoulos in the 83rd minute. With his leg Adam Northe managed to avoid a goal in the 89thth minute, when Forever Tango's Lynkeus Stavropoulos fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 91st match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philipp Goldkuhle to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle sounded Forever Tango left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Rot-Weiss-Essen.
