With a little luck, La Vuelta del Malon's Rosendo Tome got control of the ball when Nguyễn Van Tai Em tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Trần Ritchell was the one to do the kick off. When Nguyễn Teo came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the FC Dalin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Teo couldn't finish the play. If Trần Tinh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 89 minutes into the match, Trần Ritchell had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rosendo Tome. La Vuelta del Malon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trần Ritchell was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Nguyễn Teo might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rosendo Tome. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nguyễn Teo ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Dalin's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
