Hermosillo FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Godofredo Remigio 32 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. With a little luck, Hermosillo FC's Sonny Corleone got control of the ball when Godofredo Remigio tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Mike Navarro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Godofredo Remigio to strike the kick off in the second half. Hermosillo FC's Sonny Corleone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Remigio in the 51st minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Racing Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Latif Sağman to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Latif Sağman hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Hermosillo FC's Chico Che got a free kick in the 59th minute. Sonny Corleone made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Orwel in the 62nd minute of play. Sonny Corleone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Orwel, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Chico Che kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Hermosillo FC's Amuchechukwu McPherson was substituted for Javier Quentin. After 91 played minutes Hermosillo FC got a freekick which was hit by Chico Che. After a rather tough play, Racing Club's Maksymilian Walaszkiewicz got a free kick in the 95th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Racing Club fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hermosillo FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
