After some careless play in the Racing Club defense, Leonardo Tipi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Olavo Henriques. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Olavo Henriques should have stopped the shot. Olavo Henriques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonardo Tipi in the 13th minute of play. Leonardo Tipi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olavo Henriques read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Leonardo Tipi made a precise shot to the right of Olavo Henriques. Racing Club's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonardo Tipi in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olavo Henriques saved Racing Club from getting behind. In the 27th minute Godofredo Remigio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lin Yan Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Remigio in the 30th minute of play forced Les Tigres's goalkeeper Lin Yan Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Racing Club's Olavo Henriques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luboš Štencl in the 35th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Luboš Štencl notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Racing Club's Olavo Henriques. Olavo Henriques was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 38 minutes into the match, Urbano Jago dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lin Yan Hong, 1-3. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Les Tigres made a substitution. Rodolfo Luken replaced Silvano Ihazintu. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Godofredo Remigio to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Severino Estevez got free with Olavo Henriques in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lin Yan Hong showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geronimo Salomone in the 55th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godofredo Remigio in the 61st minute of play forced Les Tigres's goalkeeper Lin Yan Hong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olavo Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edvard Võsandi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute Severino Estevez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olavo Henriques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edvard Võsandi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Racing Club made a substitution. Maksymilian Walaszkiewicz replaced Urbano Jago. Racing Club's George Orwel was substituted for Godofredo Remigio. Racing Club's Julian Tejerina was substituted for Geronimo Salomone. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Edvard Võsandi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Les Tigres's supporters rose to their feet, but Edvard Võsandi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olavo Henriques breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Les Tigres's Lin Yan Hong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Orwel in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute Maksymilian Walaszkiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lin Yan Hong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87thth minute of the game George Orwel who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Les Tigres's Lin Yan Hong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Olavo Henriques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edvard Võsandi in the 88th minute of the match. Paolo Ereinotz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Olavo Henriques made a huge save. Racing Club's Olavo Henriques proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save Racing Club from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paolo Ereinotz got free with Olavo Henriques in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th minute Joaquin Uxio suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 97 played minutes Les Tigres got a freekick which was hit by Edvard Võsandi.
