The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 6 minutes into the game, Urti Baeza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sabri Erdoğan. Urti Baeza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Sabri Erdoğan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Urti Baeza in the 9th minute of play. Urti Baeza's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sabri Erdoğan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute Viseu United were awarded a corner. Lucjan Falkiewicz went to the cornerflag to take it. Rodrigo Beliran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joris Scheer in the 14th minute of play. When Fabiano Perdigão came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the AYYILDIZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabiano Perdigão couldn't finish the play. AYYILDIZ's Sabri Erdoğan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Urti Baeza in the 19th minute of play. Rodrigo Beliran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joris Scheer's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Rodrigo Beliran didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fabiano Perdigão went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Rodrigo Beliran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Romino, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Joris Scheer managed to get in a good position for a shot. AYYILDIZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Joris Scheer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodrigo Beliran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 35th minute, AYYILDIZ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Marcos Monsanto fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 42nd minute Urti Baeza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabri Erdoğan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 48th minute Viseu United were awarded a corner. Lucjan Falkiewicz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Viseu United's Lucjan Falkiewicz to fire away a dangerous shot which Sabri Erdoğan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Viseu United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AYYILDIZ were winning 1-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joris Scheer to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Joris Scheer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AYYILDIZ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joris Scheer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Urti Baeza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sabri Erdoğan was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 66th minute, Urti Baeza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Viseu United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Sabri Erdoğan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Urti Baeza, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by AYYILDIZ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lucjan Falkiewicz was slow to take the kick. During this time Viseu United's players had a chance to rest. In the 76th minute, Urti Baeza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sabri Erdoğan was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. 80 minutes into the game, Urti Baeza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Sabri Erdoğan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sabri Erdoğan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Urti Baeza went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. In the 87th minute Antonio Romino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigo Beliran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute AYYILDIZ were awarded a corner. Ulvi Gencal went to the cornerflag to take it. 89 minutes into the match, AYYILDIZ's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Monsanto came free, but Sabri Erdoğan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Onur Avcu made in the 93rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Antonio Romino immediately put the ball in play. Marcos Monsanto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Sabri Erdoğan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
AYYILDIZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
