The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Cavaliers FC's Tadeo Cesario nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Romulo Otsoa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 9th minute Cavaliers FC were awarded a corner. Serafin Charro went to the cornerflag to take it. Alonzo Faro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reynaldo Bertin having to make a save. Leonardo Cuenca charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Cuenca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cañani OFF booed when Cavaliers FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo Cuenca didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 19 played minutes, Cañani OFF's Nicanor Bingen shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Reynaldo Bertin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cañani OFF reached it. Tadeo Cesario blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Romulo Otsoa having to make a save. In the 20th minute Tadeo Cesario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romulo Otsoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romulo Otsoa came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cavaliers FC's Tadeo Cesario. But to his dismay, Tadeo Cesario quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. A collision led to Cañani OFF getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Higinio Meendez hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Cañani OFF's goalkeeper Romulo Otsoa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tadeo Cesario. Cañani OFF's Romulo Otsoa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Cañani OFF from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Cañani OFF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cavaliers FC:s goal. Cañani OFF:s Romulo Otsoa showed great skill when he stopped Leonardo Cuenca:s penalty. In the 45th minute Tadeo Cesario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romulo Otsoa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 46th minute Cavaliers FC were awarded a corner. Serafin Charro went to the cornerflag to take it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tadeo Cesario was the one to do the kick off. Lucas Urtzi's late challenge caught a Cavaliers FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Urtzi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 51st match minute, Cañani OFF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Urtzi to maneuver through the defense. 52 minutes into the match, Tadeo Cesario notched a goal, 6-0, to the right of Cañani OFF's Romulo Otsoa. Romulo Otsoa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Reynaldo Bertin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ovidio Claude, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tadeo Cesario fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romulo Otsoa having to interfere. Cavaliers FC's Andres Cuenca was substituted for Tadeo Cesario. After 61 played minutes Cañani OFF got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Meendez. Andres Cuenca might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romulo Otsoa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andres Cuenca ran back to his position shaking his head. Romulo Otsoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Cuenca in the 62nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alonzo Faro in the 64th minute of play forced Cavaliers FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Bertin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romulo Otsoa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andres Cuenca in the 66th minute of the match. Serafin Charro kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Cavaliers FC made a substitution. Guaberto Abalos replaced Leonides Urtungo. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cañani OFF's goalkeeper Romulo Otsoa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cañani OFF's Romulo Otsoa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andres Cuenca in the 81st minute of play. After some careless play in the Cañani OFF defense, Andres Cuenca kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Romulo Otsoa. The Cañani OFF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Romulo Otsoa should have stopped the shot. Cavaliers FC's Leonardo Cuenca managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Higinio Meendez in the 90 minute of the game. Romulo Otsoa came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Cavaliers FC's Andres Cuenca. But to his dismay, Andres Cuenca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. Cañani OFF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
