Svante Magnusson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Zé Sabóia made a huge save. In the 14th minute Hartmann Futebol Clube were awarded a corner. Gil Zonta helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Saiko FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Emanuel Steriopol hit a great ball. If Carlos Alberto Cavalcante had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 93rd minute Zeus Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Cavalcante cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Zé Sabóia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Saiko FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Saiko FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
