Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Zigmantas Gimbutas started the match with the kick off. Antonio Adán took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernandão Recife, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Edgar Figari shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 18th minute, Fernandão Recife hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zigmantas Gimbutas took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldo Medeiros. Ronaldo Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ronaldo Medeiros had great luck who in the 23rdth minute grab hold of the ball when Zigmantas Gimbutas from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Montevideo from getting a goal against them. Ronaldo Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgar Figari, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgar Figari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 30th minute Olavo Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Adán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Mário Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Figari in the 34th minute of play forced Montevideo's goalkeeper Ronaldo Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Montevideo's Ronaldo Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Montevideo from getting a goal against them.

The wind increased when Laerte Lucas made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, SC Braga's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo Matorin came free, but Antonio Adán reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laerte Lucas got free with Antonio Adán in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 55th minute Zigmantas Gimbutas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Adán made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Matorin in the 56th minute of play. Antonio Adán made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Laerte Lucas sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute Olavo Matorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Adán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Edgar Figari ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronaldo Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After 69 played minutes Montevideo got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Lucas. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laerte Lucas got free with Antonio Adán in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 78 minutes into the match, Donato Sampaio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronaldo Medeiros. Montevideo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donato Sampaio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. With a little luck, SC Braga's Antonio Adán got control of the ball when Laerte Lucas tried to sneak it across the goal line. Olavo Matorin kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Donato Sampaio scored 4-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronaldo Medeiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute, Fernandão Recife had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. When Nilson Mesquita fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Braga's protests and gave Nilson Mesquita a yellow card for diving instead. Montevideo made a substitution. Natanael de Godoi replaced Fernandão Recife. In the 92nd minute, Nilson Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SC Braga had won after a very even match.
