In the 12th minute, Agustín Pedrosa made a precise shot to the right of Santiago Cañizares. Foguera's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. David Villa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Foguera's zone, Bozhil Vaptzarov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santiago Cañizares came out of the goal and Bozhil Vaptzarov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind U.D. Mancini's goalkeeper Gonsalve Flores, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bozhil Vaptzarov in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santiago Cañizares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 29 minutes into the match, U.D. Mancini's goal looked a bit too open when David Villa came free, but Gonsalve Flores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santiago Cañizares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bozhil Vaptzarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Bozhil Vaptzarov might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Santiago Cañizares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Santiago Cañizares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bozhil Vaptzarov in the 37th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Foguera's goal looked a bit too open when Bozhil Vaptzarov came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Villa was the one to do the kick off. U.D. Ivan Rubio hit a great ball. Bozhil Vaptzarov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Santiago Cañizares made a huge save. Foguera's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Bozhil Vaptzarov 56 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. The corner led Foguera's Frank Isward to fire away a dangerous shot which Gonsalve Flores despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ivan Rubio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Foguera's goal looked a bit too open when Bozhil Vaptzarov came free, but Santiago Cañizares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amadeo Ziguenza got a throw-in 88 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Bozhil Vaptzarov. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Bozhil Vaptzarov managed to get in a good position for a shot. U.D. Mancini's supporters rose to their feet, but Bozhil Vaptzarov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santiago Cañizares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
